moving to Japan

town (ie tokyo)

• expect to pay alot for a small small place in town…
• expect to walk and train/subway as life - spending 1 hour or more a day in cramp subways
• expect to always be home before 1 am. as transporation stops around 12:30 (unless you drive in town… which is… literally impossible unless you’re $$$)
• expect to see (as mentioned above) cars only 5 years older or newer in town
• expect to live off carbs when eating at home (cheapest food). bananas are like 5 bucks a lb

out of town

• expect your desk job to be 1 to 2 hours away by bullet train, and waking up really really early to get to work.
• expect to spend X2 time on transportation (there and back)
• will see older cars in smaller towns and more modified ones
• living space will be more… but it is still expensive.
