I’m going to go ahead and predict that my Flickr will likely be more interesting than my blog, what with pictures being cooler than text and all.
For those that are curious, I’m keeping my car, I gave some thought to selling it, but I’m not sure what I’d get next, and I don’t think anyone on the planet has a cleaner, lower mileage IP Coupe than mine (and if they did, I’m sure they wouldn’t sell it), so it made sense to just hold onto it, until I decide that I want something else.
have a good time man. One of my friends taught English in Korea couple of years ago, he had a great time. He was there for a year, and he said it was way too short for him
Well, right now I’m going for English too, but if Hyundai wants some crazy white guy working for their special tuner arm that they haven’t even developed yet, I’m down like a clown Charlie Brown.
Haha, Korea is awesome! Honestly, the only thing that I’d like better in Japan, is the fact that I’d be able to get around easier, since I know a lot of words and phrases in Japanese. Food, drinks, transportation, etc… is so damn cheap here. Plus, the nightlife is crazy.
And so is the internet The earlier one was my home, this is at work:
It doesn’t really matter what degree you have… as long as you speak english. I almost ended up there at the beginning of the month and have considered it many times in recent years. However, from what I’ve read and heard from others you need to be really careful you disclose your background if you’re not a typical looking white person. I’ve heard many stories of individuals traveling all the way there with a job lined up and having the liaison staff say thanks but no thanks. In many cases, its not a problem but it would suck to show up and be turned away because you don’t like they want you to.
I’ve heard Southern Korea is the place to be… on the island
Yea, sadly, they are pretty waisis about non white people, they want you to be the typical westerner. Other than that though, they’re super friendly, and everyone that I’ve run into has been extremely helpful, even if only through rudimentary sign language.
If you guys wanna see pics, can check out my flickr at the beginning of the thread, I’ve updated it with all the pics.
