moving trucks?

Any body have a hook up at penske/budget etc? Or know someone who drives semi that does frequent runs from here to atlanta? I really dont want to spend $1500 to move our shit down to atl. Cheapest i have found is Budget 24’ truck $960 + gas they average about 10-12mpg… Any help will be greatly appreciated!

buy a GPS system… disconnect the speedo from the dash in the truck and use the GPS as your speedo… tell them its a 2-3 day in town move and just drive the truck back…

That would probly cost more in gas lol

???

and remove the hubodometer and hope it doesn’t have a Qualcomm :bloated:

That price isn’t bad. Ryder is cheap but they don’t do one-way rentals. I did a quote on Penske and got $980 for the 22’ truck. Spend the extra $20 for the International truck. Keep your speed down 60-65 and you will spend less on fuel for that truck than you will on gas for the Chevy. Why they don’t buy Chevy vans with diesels is beyond me (actually I know why, it’s initial cost).

there is a coupon on the internet for penske.

I think its for AAA auto club.

It was a large percentage that you saved.

Just search google.

They were the cheapest for the long haul I was planning. I don’t know what they run for local moves.

Also upack.com seemed like a great idea.

Pack all your shit on a semi, them meet up with it at your new house. Its cheaper than a truck, plus you don’t have to white knuckle drive a truck in the winter.

slopoke forgot to mention, we need a truck and to tow a car behind it. My car is a lease, and I can’t put the miles on it…
