I’ve been looking for an Audi A3 for a while now to use as a winter car / Dog hauler and this one came up down there at the right price so I jumped on it.

It’s a 2006 2.0T (same as MK5 GTI) with DSG (w/ flappy paddles), Sport Package, Winter Package.

The car has 84,xxx miles, but got a brand new factory long block less than 1000 miles ago under the CPO warranty the previous owner had. This thing feels and drives like a brand new car.

I’ve already ordered the ebay 3" downpipe for $80, and then I’ll be taking advantage of APR’s $600 fully loaded ECU christmas sale and getting stage II installed:

So it should be a very fun little car.

I got the factory wheels with snow tires, not the ugly wheels in the pics. Tint and cosmetic mods will be happening soon also hopefully.

Im so bummed these dont come awd 6spd.

Nice pick up tho.

Dan

they do now with an option of TDI or a newer 2.0T… it’s just that you’ll spend $40k for one brand new and it’s a haldex system and not true quattro.

edit: I lied, somebody told me that you could and you still can’t after looking at Audi’s website. what you can now get is quattro with the 2.0T

Nice pickup!!!

Nice!

i thought you weren’t going to spend the big bucks on a winter/daily this year?

heh, nice pick up

nice looking car.

You have to spring for the 3.2 if you want Quattro and a 6spd

getting 2.9 financing from penfed + this car being really cheap + brand new motor installed by audi = I caved in and had to do it.

Meh, the DSG is a better transmission and just as (if not more) fun to drive in these cars than the 6-sp as long as it isn’t wrong wheel drive.

Nice pickup

does the DV make gay queefing/farting noises when it shifts?

it’s pretty quiet… the car makes some interesting sound when it shifts under full boost because it can shift so fast.

Sort of off topic, the combo of a Tdi and a dsg is terrible. Having driven both: 2.0tfsi or whatever the fuck it is with a dsg and a 2.0TDi with a dsg, the dsg is a day a night difference with the gasser. Sucks dicks and cocks with the TDi, for some reason. Its super delayed and unresponsive from a dead stop. The revs build to like 2k and then you’re off, just weird? Aside from that, it’s fine. I drove a 2011 Jetta SportWagen TDi with a dsg recently, brought it back from the test drive and ordered one with a six speed manual.

DSG only in 3.2 Quattro

Nice pick up, I love my A3.

Nice, love these but I never looked at them too much due to the engine/transmission pairings discussed above.

Enjoy!

DSG actually sounds pretty cool at WOT when there is an exhaust on the car, kinda race car like with the quick shifts.

X…

Really? They did offer it at one point in that configuration, must have dropped it though?

Edit:Guess I’m living in 07, they dropped the 3.2 option all together

bunch of miles on the APR stage II and loving the car still.

tinted it… 20% except for the front two which at 40%

Who did your tint?

Did you check the cam follower yet? I really need to get a chip, DP and intake for my GLI.
