Their saying 3 separate shootings? Multiple gunman?
Due to repost, I will put this here:
I am waiting to hear that it was a lone gunman, that was killed. They are saying he shot the soldier at the war memorial, and then went to parliament, where he was shot and killed. More than 98% of active shooter scenarios in the US involve a single shooter*, so I doubt Canada differs much from those stats. Chaotic situations lead to differing reports, which lead to reports of multiple gunman. In reality, people get scared, and don’t remember what color shirt the shooter was wearing. One person says red, the other says brown, that leads to two shooters.

Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, the 32-year-old whose morning raid on Parliament Hill ended when a sergeant-at-arms gunned him down as he was unleashing a fusillade of bullets in the halls of Canada’s federal government, had recently undergone a religious awakening that left at least one friend alarmed, the Globe and Mail reported.
“We were having a conversation in a kitchen, and I don’t know how he worded it: He said the devil is after him,” Dave Bathurst told the newspaper. “I think he must have been mentally ill.”
Witnesses said an armed Zehaf-Bibeau drove to the Ottawa complex just before 10 a.m Wednesday, jumped out of a Toyota with no license plates and ran to the National War Memorial, where he shot a soldier later identified as Cpl. Nathan Cirillo. The 25-year-old father of a six-year-old boy, who was a member of Canada’s Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders regiment, died later at Civic Hospital.
Zehaf-Bibeau then ran to the East Block of Parliament Hill, firing more shots and sending politicians, journalists and other workers scattering, although no one else was killed. He was brought down in the rear building of the complex, near a library, by Kevin Vickers, 58, who serves as the House of Commons’ sergeant-at-arms.
Sounds like Kevin Vickers will be getting some great praise from his country and it’s rightfully deserved. By the sound of the video, you can kind of hear the shots from the long rifle and then the sound of Vickers unloading from his handgun. Kind of ironic that the Sergeant-at-Arms was the one to take him down too. Give that man a medal!
Now they are saying it was just 1 gunman involved in attack.

Heart goes out to Cpl’s family. It was really moving to see this. ( Pittsburg Penguins play O’Canada)I honestly choked up a little and don’t even watch hockey. I am an immigrant but this is my country and I abide by their rules. I may have differing opinions on morality in some laws but I fight it through my choices and elected representatives not through violent terrorism.

A young friend of mine working for me in Red Deer right now was close with the deceased. The soldier was from hamilton.
Watching videos I was surprised by the number of cops with ARs and what not based on the low level of crime they have.
It’s pretty standard everywhere now, even in the counties that are considered safe. It’s bad though when you see police in India and other countries that don’t have good training. I’ve seen videos of them with their guns during an active shooter situation, and they threw their rifle on the ground and ran away. That is not acceptable.
If it was India there was probably some woman he needed to go rape.
Was this guy tied to any organization or was he just a crazy man who happened to be a muslim.

They had a guy on CTV that said he passed that car on the way into work (at parliment I think) he thought it was strange that a car would be left abandoned there, but just went around.
