i have tried all my sources locally and they cant even tell me where to go.

dont worry about thread pitch and size. this is a corse thread economy piece. anything in the US should be standard measurement and i should be able to find them in 1/2" and 5/8" with fine thread.

at this point this is the only variable standing in the way of sick multi-link gear beyond the quality of the group buy stuff but with more than competitive pricing…

need someone to find this piece or at least tell me what to search for or ask for on the phone or over google.

ask your friends, ask your dad’s friends… invite people into your home to see these pics and figure out where we can get this piece.

Do you think it has to be a left hand thread on the outside and right hand on the inside Bing?

I asked my dad if he knew the reason for LH thread, but he said he would have to look at the application.

I will see what I can find out.

Ok, never mind, I just fingered it out.

This piece is required to have LH thread on the outside and RH thread on the inside (or opposite if you can find heim jounts with LH thread which shouldn’t be a problem and then you wouldn’t have to get LH thread tubing for the arm).

When you have it installed on your car, to adjust it you turn the reducer (the far right in this pic below). When you spin it one way (when installed or both ends being held), the reverse thread on the outside causes the heim joint to be sucked into the reducer, and that part is sucked into the actual arm. When you turn it the other way, both pieces will extend.

Whereas if they both had RH threads, the turning of the reducer piece would basicly make it thread up and down without changing the distance between the heim joint and the other end of the arm (assuming the thread pitches are the same).

WHERE CAN I FIND IT!!!

BING,

I’ll have an answer for you tomorrow and maybe some out to you. I think I got those exact screws at work.

PS. Nice pics LOL

learnin how to use the macro function… i need a tripod

also,

left hand thread on the outside

right hand thread on the inside

1/2" bolt goes inside

i forget the size of the outside, i thikn 3/4"

iono i took it into the shop again today and we called around but couldnt find it.

give me EXACT dimensions as I have a book in front of me with these exact bolts and what not. found it, but need thread specs etc.

still need help.

that’s a very complicated way to make the part… was thier a reason you went away from a turnbuckle style ? I looked in my big Spaenauer catalouge and no dice… this is a custom part or an industry specific part… what industry is the question though

yeah we called spaenauer directly and they couldnt help us.
