Last night at around 10:00, me and my buddy were cruising around in his '90 5.0 (exhaust, intake, coils, computer). We turned down the Disturbed just long enough to hear the sound of the sound of a raspy exhaust. We saw a blue 2002(?) Sentra se-r spec v with a couple nismo stickers, pulling out of Tim Hortons. We slowed down and waited for him and met him at a light. After a quick chat the driver said it had an exhaust, intake, headers, and other small things. Light turned green and we were just rolling and talking when we asked him if he wanted a quick run, and he agreed. So first gear at about 10mph, we started to go and the Mustang quickly pulled a car on it. Heard him chirp 2nd and started to come up, staying even at the back door. We let off at around 80mph and that was it. I asked him if he was on here, and he said he is going to be soon. All in all it was a fun little run with no drama:tup:
sound like the 5.0 is running like crap, a bolt on se-r is a low 15sec car lol
Impressive…
Coils? Did he add an extra one (I’m assuming ignition coil here…)??? Or are you talking about coil springs?
No, that sounds about right for mostly stock 5.0 . Even bolt on modified they’re still pretty slow.
I meant coil springs. The ignition is untouched.
The old Foxes are 15 second cars.
It came with just over 200hp stock…add some bolt ons and he’s probably pushing like 250hp max.
I have a college aged neighbor that slow rolls my house when I am washing my car in what sounds/looks like an early 90’s 5.0 with bolt ons. Last time he threw me a rev and starred me down.
Hopefully we don’t meet on the street, because he probably has a 1,000 lbs weight advantage to my family sedan, I wouldn’t stand a chance.
Yeah it would ruin that under powered Cadillac of yours.
