true… true. The '07+ STIs have better gearing which still kinda suck for top end.

not to go completely off topic, but I didn’t actually look up if the gearing changed but it certainly felt like it did. I notice almost no difference between 4th and 5th gear on my new one… might as well be a 5spd

Probably started out like 3 cars ahead, got on it, and then when they finished the STi was only one car back. Sure, the mustang stayed ahead, but still lost 2 cars to the Scooby. :tup:

so i went and picked up my girl out in op and i was headed back and i’m turning on to XXXXXXX off of XXXXXX and i see a nice looking black STI so i pull out behind him and i blip the throttle a bit and he does the same back god i love the sound of them cars. we get up to the next light and theres a car in front of me so i get arond him and he lays into it around 40 so i do the same in 2nd we stay dead even he i shifted into third and pulled a bit shut down around 120ish had him by about a car or two, he pulls up nex to me and we pull into a parking lot and talk for a bit cool kid, car had a intake turbo back exhaust and a chip. fun night. this is my second kill in this car

It had exhaust I could definitly hear the supercharger. I’ve ran 03ish gt’s with intake and exhausts before and spanked them but hey it was auto so idk

probably… I can walk 99-04 GT’s pretty easy (stock) and STi’s give me a run for my money. STi should of spanked him pretty good

edit: maybe it has shorter gears in the cobra IRS?

and the Cobras come with 3.55 gearing, so idk if that would help THAT much compared to a stock GT’s 3.23’s.

I always though Cobras had 3.73’s.I could be wrong.I believe stock GT’s got 3.27’s.Even so it isn’t enough of a gain to make that much of a difference against an STI.

Not so sure this story is 100% accurate.I think a vid run is definitly in order.

lol couple guys seen it on here that were cruisin with me. The guy gave me a thumbs down haha thinking that I had some kinda supercar with my frontmount. Not that I’m proud of it or anything but soon enough I’ll get my setup together I’m just broke and a lazy fuck.
