Where’s all the sweet pictures?!?!?
:word:
V1.0 lol Once it all fit right i reinforced the hell out of it.
Im in for X-Mas heaters
Ehhhhh I didn’t take many. I have some of the near finished trans mount. Ill get them up here.
Put the beer down and pick up the camera!!! Especially for the heaters!
Ok ok ok here are a few.
I guess I should explain. When I did the swap there was a $400ish trans mount available. I figured I would take a look and go from there. My OEM mount from the old drivetrain was in great shape still and after looking some was pretty close to working with the new setup. So I cut out the center piece that the old trans mounted to and made a new one to fit the glide. My version has extra supports but it only added an hour of so extra and made me feel better.
Now that I know it all fits like a glove I will finish grinding the welds and such smooth and paint it. It should look like an OEM piece finished.
Sorry I didnt take any in progress pics Or of the other side…or installed I suck at pics on this build
Here is where I am at with the downpipe. I didnt take pics but to make an area to fit this thing through took a few hours of thinking and cutting/grinding. It fits almost perfect where I want it. I need to cut a few inches off the length of this pipe and it should fit great.
It sneaks under the plug wire and is right between the starter and frame rail. I will be making provisions to control heat exposure to the wire and starter.
Also an important thing is spark plug access. I made sure all could easily be changed still.
Yea buddy. Tons of room.
Nice. I like that you are using polished stainless too. Looks WAY better and doesn’t look like someone cut the galvanized plumbing out of their house and decided to recycle it by making turbo parts.
Underside is a differnt story but I think it will be fine. Just need to grind a little more.
Thanks
LOL galvanized plumbing. Stainless is pretty easy to give a quick polish.
Good job
I thought you were going to wham this out the fender!!?
Out the fender still might happen after the amount of time ive wasted trying to get it between the frame and starter. I will get it though
So street wheels??? I have a narrowed 9" so we are looking at a big dish or really concave.
thinking 18x12-13" out back. I think I like these. In the darker color
Post up anything else you think is neat for this type of build.
I’m guessing you won’t be able to get those in the offsets you’ll need. Just get a set of custom Fikse fm10s made.
18x13 would be perfect for 335-345/30/18
Gimmie that Ferrari.
I need to get some measurements first.
+1 What am I doing with all of this old junk. I love a nice Ferrari. Heck I would rock a 360 all day even though they are kinda slow and unreliable ha
You have any pics of a 65 nova sitting on rims like that?
I searched google and mostly found welds/really ugly wheels
I find the same thing. Mostly pro street stuff. GV texts me pics all the time of nicer looking ones so maybe he has some to share.
With the full pro touring clip, discs, and not wanting to look like a redneck I think some street wheels could help.
Fu I’m working, well trying to work lol. Gimme that 408 and I’ll find you many many pics of siqQQq Nova’s.
I might sell that 408 at some point. Need to see how tired I am after this Nova build
You’re old, you’ll be tired!
