I buy these rolled transitions from columbia river. They come in a bunch of different lengths and are reasonably priced.
Man this car defeated me last night. Had to take apart a bunch of stuff. I must have not had something tightened during final fitup because now I dont have room to get a lower rad hose on. Many swear words were yelled. Drank some beer. I am going to try to fix it today.
It is demoralizing! I was so excited to see it looking like a car again. Nw its is back to many parts on a floor. While annoyed I am going back out there tonight to yell at it and drink more beer.
Yes
I can get a hangover just thinking about Sailor Jerry
did you guys get that coolant hose off the t-stat housing figured out? I can look around for that flex hose if need be, it works great for tight spots.
Well first the housing was hitting crossover.
Cut it up, extended it, welded it, painted it. Yay
Going to install it…cross threaded into the water pump.
Chased the threads and somehow I didnt muff them beyond repair. Yay
Went to install lower hose. Cut it too short. No longer fits.
So to answer yes I still need a lower hose but they are two different sizes. Needs to go from 1.5" to 1.75" I believe. If you have something that works I would sleep better tonight.
A lot of prep went into getting the LS harness ready for the car…I had to re-wire a few areas, lengthen both O2 Sensors, un-pack and reroute all the OBDII harnessing, and relocate the fuse block.
Once I had the harness on the car I was able to mock it in pretty easily and add in the wideband harness.
