Good luck, I love the wheels with the BS/dish.
Let me know on more parts you need
Getting the rear narrowed was a very smart move. I wish I had done it myself, opens up the wheel choices substantially, plus the wheels look a hell of a lot better without all of the backspacing. Go get some clearer pics up.

Agreed 100% same boat here.

Ooooh Yea, serious competition, lookin good. I’d say ur gonna need 28" tall tire’s, &/or 3.42,s or 3.55’s to keep ur trap rpm’s in the 7 grand range. Alot of guy’s in the 8’s r runnin 30" tall tire’s:tspry:
Yea thats what i was thinking as well. I do not think a 27in QTP will 60ft where you need to be for 8’s either. You will need 1.3’s maybe a low 1.4 60ft for 8’s. I say try it on a 28in slick and have be ready to possibly have to change gear and tire to try it on a 30in tire as well. I see no reason it shouldnt go low 1.4’s high 1.3’s. But we are the same way as far as trying different things. Next season for my quest for 9’s im going to buy 2-3 sets of tires and probably 1-2 different rear gears. My best 60ft on a QTP was a 1.54 but i swear it was just a stroke of luck type thing.
BTW are you staying with a 4L60/80 or going 350/400 or glide whats up here? Also i dont question the fact that you have thuroughly planned out this build at all and you know the variables better then i so dont take anything i say as disagreeing with anything you are doing. Just to be clear.
Shit i just fooled around on the gear calc and if you are staying with a 4L60/80 then I think a 3.73 gear is about right for what you want to do. 27in tire will go 151mph at 7k 28in tire will go 156 at 7k. 28in on a 4.10 is 142 at 7k.(I think this would be great if the car comes out sluggish at all). Also we will have to see what kind of mph we end up dealing with. What are you hoping for mid-high 140’s? I do not think a 30in tire would be needed at all.

Convertor slippage with a big convertor is also going to knock the MPH down some…
 <3
God i cant wait untill i get home so we can do a build and the thread can be “Cougarspeeds quest to PWN all”. I hope a crazy build stays in my financial plan lol.
Can we call it…How many weeks before he goes from 6spd to auto?
Actually when i do my build i plan to buy an auto(probably a glide) and keep the 6-sp and just switch between the two when i feel like it hahahaha. OFFTOPIC-you see the 3-series LS1 swap on LS1tech i hate it when i get new ideas fuck. I say we just start putting LS1’s in random cars that we like. Who’s down?
