that plus the thrust bearing being ground past the babbit and well into the copper equated to .040" play. still ran good though!..

gay iron clutches
ahh well

pics not there yet

notice on the #1 main cap; the burn marks where the #1 counterweight was hitting (eesh). luckily it should be fine. need some further decision making though

the main bearings were TOAST. im surprised how well it ran

Get a twin plate like me… less pedal with all the grip.

i can see them…?

im looking into it. they are expensive though $$$$. at the very least, ill need to get a throw-out bearing with a shorter sleeve

damn turbo, i didn’t see any of this when i saw the engine last

Thought it was just a cracked piston??

Agreed, you need a twin plate. Pay to play.

That sucks. Crankwalk is a bitch. I got to see some serious SERIOUS crank walk this weekend. Like 1/8", was funny.

the crack in the piston was very minor. still had decent enough compression, although keeping it on the road would’ve been a bad idea either way. i was flirting with disaster on pump gas, and disaster won. live and learn

dont make me spend more money  :tantrum:

at least i have all winter to make more “car money”, and dont need to make that decision right away.

uhh holy shit!

that sux it could be worse tho at least you caught it before it got worse
