all this talk about build threads lately made me wanna make one. I never planned on making a build thread so the beginning wont have a whole lotta detailed pics but i will do my best to make it work. ill start taking lots of pics on all my upcomming projects. all new pictures will be high quality im just using whatever cell and random pics i have to get started.
so got the car like this in feburary 2009.
car came with
stance coils, x line guage, blitz guage, altima fans, tc arms, front strut bar. megan mani.
wasnt a huge fan of the wheels. and wanted to make the car more of my own. so the car quickly turned into this.
very ugly
yanked off the front bumper. pignose was all cracked and broken and took off front fenders to go with 30mm bmagic front fenders. long story behind this. went cheap to start and got replica front fenders 30mm but the fitment was just awful. so i quickly returned and got the best! they fit perfect…
pic of non fitment fenders.
celly pics
after taking those back picked up b magic 30 mm front and rears (quality this time:)) and some mb battles. s5 front 5 lug and ichiba rear 5 lug.
installed
yanked old 180sx calipers out went to 300zx fronts painted them black with high heat caliper paint. russell ss braided lines all around. i was happy with the out come. front slotted rotors with ebc rear rotors and hawk hp+ all around.
from this
to this
collected a few more parts.
installed koyo rad the car came with dual speed altima fans so this was all that was needed for the cooling system.
sparco seat installed
installed tein inner and outer tie rods. bings 3 inch catback, and down pipe, test pipe and megan turbo elbow. no pics of this unfortunately.
Then started the head gasket (first printed out entire fsm and made a book for all specs). was really nervous at this time because i had never done any engine work before this project. and as i yanked off the valve cover and intake i decided to do a mock up of my new intake to check out clearances. and sure enough, it ran right into the clutch master. managed to get around this by picking up a jdm s14 clutch master. which is much smaller.
new headgasket was sucessfully installed. and as i was putting back in the cams that came with the car i noticed they wouldnt fit nicely. so i tried tightening the brackets very slightly with a 1/4 inch ratchet and this happend with ease…
so i fixed that with a couple hks step 1 cams 264s
garrett gt2871R installed with ss lines earl fittings.
getting there…
power fc installed with map. wideband and nrg wheel / hub. megan qr
how my engine bay currently looks with bings res, painted valve cover, nismo oilcap.

picked up this badboy. looks and sounds amazing. 3.3inch.
