Hey All, I just recently finished my Sr swap on my 1990 hatch, I was at bings meet but my car remained uninsured and had to stay home. So to those who ive been hanging out with and haven’t seen my car i guess its to prove that it actually exists lol.
So here it is in all its glory… picked it up from Hamilton the beginning of November for $2300 with 317k on the clock and a sohc under the hood. The car had been stored for the past 5 years in a barn and just had a small patch of rust on the rocker and a mint interior.
Decided to go with the common SR Swap and bought my clip from royal Japanese engines in Montreal.
My Buddy and i went to the place with 4 grand cash and walked away with the two clips… kinda a steal i guess
The clip came with a bunch of jdm goodies like an hks ssq bov, hks plugs, oil catch can among other things

after removing the motor the engine bay was prepped for a thick coat of truck bedliner.

The car is far from done the suspension is still in the box and im hurtin for wheels and tires but as we all know building a car takes a lot of time and effort. Positive comments and suggestions are welcome

Looks good man, nice clean start to a project. Good call on cleaning up the engine bay before dropping the motor in. That bedliner is gonna prove awesome once the wrenches start flying in there.

dam i truck bed lined my interior floor and trunk but i never thought about the engine bay if my engine ever comes out for a build imma deff do it…looking good.
Its just a random ebay kit. its called xspower?? it was $200 and allowed to keep the window washer bottle which is convenient i guess. all in all fitment was good soo i cant complain :thumleft:

-relocated my turn signals ( zipties ftw) gettin type x’ sooon
-Installe kyb gr2 shocks and struts and tein springs (no mo gangsta lean)
How about giving us some tech along with those purrdy lil pictures. Don’t call it a build thread if you’re just gonna post pics of the car without telling us how you did anything.
