My Fox Body Mustang Build

What is the hold back? what didnt fit? Mustangs are so easy to work on.

for the intake pipe i got, you need to cut a hole in the inner fender, and i didnt do it right so rather than rush it (which is what im gonna do) id rather wait til i have plenty of time and do it clean

I am prob going to take like a week off sometime this summer when its nice out and i can do this outside rather than in my small cramped garage, and i’ll put the supercharger on and change the rear end out all at once.

:spank: thats boot cut the fuckin hole bigger n slap that booster on there. your just stopping because of that? who cares if its not as pretty as it can be, when ur car is fast as a mf it will b worth it

I ran into a few more problems with the fuel system. actually, a LOT more. I did put the car back to N/A save for the Walbro fuel pump and the injectors. It wouldn’t start. the fuel pump was not getting power, and I checked the wiring, the inertia switch, the fuse and the relay, all are fine.

At this point, I didn’t know what else to do, so I more or less admitted defeat and the car is now at P and J’s where its getting the supercharger put on, the fuel system straightened out, having my trans temp gauge sending unit tapped into the pan, and have a few other “loose ends” taken care of. Most importantly, after everything is done, the car will be tuned on their dyno. When I talked to John over there and he got a look at the car, he quoted me a price for all the work and tuning which I thought was very reasonable. At the end of the day, this is probably the pussy way to getting my car done, but this way I know the car will run right and I won’t have to really worry about trying to tune anything myself and I know it will all set. When it gets back from there in a couple weeks, I have my new rear end all set to go in the car with all new suspension, brakes, and control arms. In the last 3 years, I have yet to have a car running for the whole summer, so the plan now is to just get it running smoothly and drive it and enjoy!

Sounds like a real, smart plan.

GRAB YOUR ANKLES, and good luck getting it back anytime soon.

Ive worked on 3 diff fox bods that have all had power to the pump problems i always just ended up running new wiring to the pump and bypassing all the old wiring… not sure if thats the right thing to do but it worked for me

werd. BAD idea going to P&J in my opinion. Keep in mind, P&J does NOT dyno “tune”.

he said about 2 weeks, and I know how they are, so realistically I’m not expecting to see it anytime before next month.

X10

BEFORE my long tubes and dyno tune, my old mustang went 13.68@101… after i installed the headers and took it to them to tune it, the car was running 13.9’s at 97-98 :cjerk:

F them… they dont tune worth a dick

omg, :ohnoes:

We’ll see yah at the end of the season Mike!

yea my car was there for a dyno “tune” for awhile…are they act tuning a chip for you or what are you going to be running? I’m sure it will get done right just when and how well of a tune it will have is my question…
