makes me want to start work on my 71 cuda
Ask him if he knows Dennis Blair. Dennis was telling me about someone he knows who sold his Hemi Cuda and I assume it is the same guy as there can’t be many actual Hemi Cuda’s in the area. Car looks great btw.
Normally not a fan of the pastel-like green, but for some reason I really love them on the old Mopar’s. My friend is doing a 73 Duster that will probably be a very simialr lime green color.
Great looking car, gonna be sick when it’s done.
we are good friends with the Blairs.
Braden was one of my best friends growing up, and was my roommate at Canisius several years ago
i definitely disagree. ive seen a lot of SHITTY restorations. all money aside, i’d say about 85%+ of the automotive world are HACKS, even with the passion, and the attention to detail required would be greatly lacking.
as a guage, the '70 challenger pictured at the top of page 2 WON the mopar nationals and scored something like a 97/100 on the grading. This is professional grading where they climb underneath the car with a magnafying glass and look for little shit like inspection marks. he beat out PROFESSIONAL RESTO SHOP built cars. the car was built almost completely in his backyard, painted at my dad’s shop, and the engine he had built. skills and detail not just anybody with the passion posess
Small world. Yeah, Dennis is one of the guys that I cycle with, good guy. He told me what that Hemi Cuda sold for, IIRC it was over $225K.
yes they go for that much … im looking for a lil more then that for my 71…
Oh no, I know what they go for, I was just shocked when he told me that it was a real Hemi Cuda and not a clone. I’d love to one day be able to pay that much money for a car and have it not phase me financially
Im diggin it,looking great!
… says the guy with the played out chrome SS wheels lol
I like ttII’s, personal preference
Nice car
I’m really liking it.
In for more pics!
maybe ill stop by and take more pics today. i think my dad is over there now helping out. i doubt there is any visual change though since before.
hell im going to go work on my own shit
the good doctor does some damn nice work.
nudes of second mother?
:lolsign:
Not a fan of the old muscle cars but I’ll take the SRT-10 if its a Viper.
GL with the project. Im sure it will turn out great. The work looks flawless.
What the car Limelight before he started the restoration? My uncle had a 70 that looked a lot like that about 11 years ago. He used to store it at my 'rents. I was in high school at the time, and thought it was the coolest thing ever. Look at the attached pic.
been a while since i posted anything. most of the outside of the car is done, next big thing is the interior less the dash. the trunk and spoiler were put on after i took these pics. unfortunately most of the car was covered.
ill get some more pictures later. these pictures dont do this justice at all. attention to detail is absolutely amazing
i absolutely love that color on cars.
Bill, isn’t there a piece that goes behind the fogs? Either way it looks great. Thanks for posting up that color chart, I knew I was correct in that the color was called Plum Crazy and NOT purple haze:smash2: And I like how the colors are named what they are, dark blue is dark blue poly, light blue is light blue poly. I hate how overly complicated colors are named, it’s tan, no it’s Savana Sandstone Mica
