My NEW 1984 BMW (Yes, another one.)

Almost considered getting an 80’s era bmw I saw for sale years ago, since i like the general design…

I got one for ya if you want one still… '84 733i. Runs good, cheap too.

yikes…

Wow Zach … I see your still hanging on. Good luck with this one, it looks good.

I know I know, it’s no 135i or S4, but i’m working with what I like/price range.

Thanks man. It’s staying down here with me this time around. Haha

i meant the maintenance/daily driver nightmare…

Yeah, I’m just waiting.

Parts are cheaper, though, so that’s a plus. Also a little bit easier to work on.

just don’t mod anything and look up the maintenance intervals and start checking off the list… good luck

That is also part of the reason I bought the car, it has a folder that has to be over 2" thick with service records. I don’t plan on modding it, it has everything I wanted. Have a Bentley Service Manual for it, too.

How many miles are on it?

160k. 160,000/25 = 6400 miles a year. Not too terrible in my book - My Audi had 110k on it when it went to the junkyard, it was a '98.

That thing needs the 540i sport wheels from a few years back (2000) with the polished spokes. Deep dish in the back, shallow up front. I agree, remove the pinstripe.

+1 on the stripe

Yeah, it’s pretty haggard. It might not go immediately, but it will when I do the big detail on the car when it gets nicer out.

Tod - These? I hope to get them eventually. “Eventually” is the key term for everything right now. Haha

Pic don’t work

How about now?

yup, and those would look sexy on the new car

those would look good too, but I was thinking the mesh style on the 540i Sport. I am having a tough time finding pics of them. BMW has so many good looking wheels. 2000 M5 Hyperblack wheels would look sweet, too.

How about these…

For $519 a set, you can’t go wrong. They show '88-89 635, but not your car. Isn’t it 5x120mm bolt circle?

Yeah 5x120, stock offset around ET20. Wheels will come in time, I’m happy with the ones it has for now. Money’s tight, so it will probably be the end of summer before I do anything that isn’t basic maintenance.

BMW by far has the best looking factory wheel designs. No competition.
