I’ve had this since September & realized I never posted it on here so here we go. I was dailying my 89 CRX as most of you guys may already know which was great but driving it 70 miles a day, 5 days a week for work was taking a toll on the poor car. I reached the point I’m sure most car guys hit. I was tired of working on older cars & trying to daily driver them so I decided to take the plunge & get something that was basically new. At the time, I wasn’t really a fan of the mk6 so I decided to get a 2010 VW Jetta tdi. It’s fully loaded with the dsg, sun roof, touch screen radio, ect. I picked it up from Cooley VW with 22k on it for what I thought was a fair deal. Car was obivously stock & well I don’t know how to leave well enough alone so here’s what I’ve done to it this far:
-AFE Intake
-Smoke Corners (waiting on the mirror turn signal lenses to come)
-35% Tint all the way around done by Showroom in Scotia
-Cherry LED Euro Tail Lights
-LED License Plate Lights
-Black Project Headlights
-Wolfsburg Grill
-M3 Trunk Lip
-Debadged
-RS4 Oil Cap
-Black Coolant Tank Cap
Things I want to do to it come spring time:
-APR Stage 1
-Sparco Assetto Gara Wheels
-Coilovers
-Probably an AFE Catback
Here’s a few pics from the day I got it to how it is now. Car has about 29k on it now (lot of commuting for work) & so far has been great. Very happy with it. Now just need to find another urs4 or 20v 200 to tinker with.
That’s my father’s. We’re just waiting on spring to come so we can finish up the little body work left & then shoot some flat black on her. Then it’s just odds & ends
Little status update on the daily. Just broke 30,000 miles on the Odometer a few days ago. Got a few little goodies for it. I wanted to do a exhaust but with having a warranty, it seemed stupid to delete the dpf & spending all the money & just doing a catback didn’t seem worth it. So I got a set of exhaust tips for it. They serve the purpose & were cost effective. I also got the car flashed over at Broadway Auto Clinic. Now have the APR Stage 1 flash & love it, major improvement. Lastly I picked up a set of wheels for it. I got them off a member on Audizine, 18x7 Flik Artic powder coated in mattle black. Just gotta order tires. Gonna wait a few more weeks & then it’ll be putting the wheels on & lowering it. Some quick pics.
Thats like posting a picture of yourself 40lbs overweight in a jumpsuit saying i’m really going to lose some weight someday. No one cares, post before and after. :hijacked
Finally got the TDI looking good (in my personal opinion). Things I’ve done lately: 55W DDM Tuning 8k HIDS, LED corner lights, installed my wheels & tires. Since this is my daily, I’m pretty much done modding it. Probably just a few vag com mods & if I decide to keep it for a long period of time, once the warranty’s up or it’s paid off I’ll do a full exhaust with a dpf delete. Right now just gonna enjoy dailying it & start stashing money away for a mk2 build I want to do & finish my Sierra. Some crappy cell phone pics. Gonna try to get some decent shots done once this weather clears up. Note: Yes I know it’s needs moar low but if you saw the road into my work, you wouldn’t want to lower it either.
