When I first installed the turbo kit I kinda rigged an exhaust on it. Spare pieces of 3in and a 40 series flowmaster muffler with the stock 2.75 inch tail pipe. It worked but rusted out and I thought was a bit loud especially since I installed a cutout for when I wanna make noise.
Here are the pics of the old system. Notice all the clamps and hack welds lol

Now time for my real exhaust. All stainless, v bands, proper fitment and no corners cut. Using a Magnaflow 30inch muffler.

Sweet fitment and welding skills here. This is the rear of the muffler. TurboCiv tossed my cheap and ugly 3-4 reducer and made this seamless piece to connect the muffler to my 4inch tail pipe.
4 inch tail pipe with a slip joint for easy removal ( if need be ).

Final verdict = I love it. It could just be me but it might be a tiny bit more quiet and it flows more because I’m seeing 1 more psi of boost compared to my previous set up. Pipe 4inch over the axle and tail pipe for the ricer in me and those the car guys that see it and get that WTF feeling seeing it hanging there.
 to John for the great price, the amazing quality and crazy turn around time from start to finish.
I was going to say your truck is still pretty sleeper looking because the exhaust almost looks like a factory type piece. Then I saw your license plate  no snky snky here
Thanks guys, the more I drive it the more I notice it’s a little louder around 3000 rpm when I’m driving sporty. But it I’d def more quiet when cruising and cold starts. I might look into a 3 inch resonator. Correct me if I’m wrong but they are straight through and do not inhibit flow only drone/noise. How do I know which one to get and does it matter where in the exhaust it goes as long as it’s before the muffler? I never bought or installed one
I don’t know shit about exhaust design but I used to have a Magnaflow resonator on my Sentra to get rid of the rasp. It was straight through design, the inside was perforated with some sort of steel wool/metal packing between the perforation and the outside structure.
My exhaust on my evo had a TERRIBLE drone/honda civic buzzing bee’s noise and i had gary weld on a Vibrant resonator and that specific noise went away completely. however it did not lower the actual sound of the exhaust while idling or driving and especially not WOT lol. if it did, it was barely and i cannot notice it. you can try a longer resonator probably right before the muffler with just a few inches in between
