anyways i have noticed that random problems show up with this car.
abnormal puddle on passenger side which is now frozen …:wtf:
locks lock but dont unlock.
drivers side door wont open from outside but will from inside.
hatch is rusty.
window doesnt go up or down with out coaxing… drivers side…
squealling belts for no reason … fixing this today…
gas door dont open unless you have someone with you to go out n open it while i hold the lever up.
hmmm. any one know how to fix these… lol?

can i ask a question? If your locks lock but do not unlock. First how do you know this? cause at some point they have to unlock to be locked. Secondly how do you get in your car if your locks do not unlock?
they do not unlock from the outside only the hatch unlocks and thats how i have been getting in my car… it really pisses me off

The puddle is do to the No frame style windows. The trim on your passenger side doesn’t seal, and leaks. Get new trim
The door locks suck. Get some dry graphite lock lubricant and it will help. When the tumblers start to get worn and old they get bits of corrosion which get stuck when the temps go down. Pulling the handle manually releases the door with more force than the key, and does so seperately.
No 2g window works. You can put a new motor in it, (which will help the sluggishness) get new guides for the windows, will help. And make sure the window is on track, this will help. Eventually it will self destruct itself again. It will happen soon. There is no real fix. They will rattle too. fix; roll them up.
The hatch is rusty because the window doesn’t seal, and the moisture attacks everything in the car. That, and the body seal in the center of the low wing has lifted and lets water pool in the wing. It will rust completely out. Get a new hatch.
The gas doors always stick. They’re junk.
PS: DSM’s aren’t imports. In fact, they were all built right here in Normal IL, and exported from here. They are US domestic vehicles.

lol 420a ftl although i loved mine when i had one.
95s i believe have a problem with one of the headbolts not being drilled deep enough and cause head gasket failure. do some research and figure out which they are, put a nice washer or something on it to let the bolt seat properly. or just buy headstuds.
easy fix now before it happens just take the coilpack and valve cover off
