My turbocharged SBC build

as some of you know or may not know, i have parted out my v6 and am in the process of dropping a sbc into my GN. i just got my shortblock and here are some pics of the motor and what ive done so far. hopefully i’ll have the shortblock into the car next weekend.

its a detroit deisel tv7101, 75mm inducer, 98mm exducer, t6 fram, 1.39 hotside, and 5 inch inlet and outlet

Wow, nice project! Don’t let the Buick die-hards give you a hard time… while the turbo 3.8 kicks ass, a turbo SBC will kick even more. We’re workin’ on a '73 Camaro w/ a 91mm turboed LS1, gotta love turbos bigger than your head. Haha.

i want to see this done it looks tight as hell. how do you turbo a carb i havent really looked into it before it seems interesting

turbo carb is called a blow through. some modifications have to be done to a carb to make it work. there are companies that make them. CSU carb and C&S carbs sell blow set-ups. One of the moderators on turboforums.com set up a carb for me and that is what i am going to use. its a holley 650 dp
