it’s nothing special at all. just a vortec 5.7 from a '97 3/4 ton pickup, and the trans for now is just a stock 700r4 from one of my old third gen f-bodies.
I’d like to drop a t56 into the car once I have everything else sorted out.

That should be a fairly stout SBC with a small cam, good luck with the build! What mounts are you using?
I don’t hate the L28, I think I might hold on to it and do something with it at a later date. for the mounts I bought the jags that run kit, seems to be the easiest route.
Any plans for a cam in the sbc? Even something like a stock LT1 cam would wake it up a bit.
I’m not making any plans for a motor build yet. I’d just like to put it in and get it sorted before I do anything to make more power.
ok did a little bit of work on the car the past couple of days…
If you’re planning on doing any poly bushings, do the steering rack and steering isolator with the engine out. Even then they can be a bit of a whore.

I snagged some leather 300zx seats out of the yard at LKQ today, leather is pretty dry, but hopefully some conditioner will soften them up. for $18 a piece though I can’t go wrong.
