Nice work man, Im sure it will be a fun car when your done
Nice build, that engine look tiny in there.
I love s30s. Everything fits with room to spare.
The fuel cell looks pretty good in there but I would be careful taking this over the railroad tracks Dukes of Hazzards style.
yeah I think I’ll do my best to keep all four on the ground at all times.
very nice! When is the engine test fire?
hell ya dude
Well I know the engine will run, I had put it in my trans am and then pulled it to pu it into this. I still need to wire the motor, connect a throttle cable, and build an exhaust.
At least I think that’s all I have left.

I’m hoping to have it driving this weekend, even if we have snow.
That’s bad as all hell
started doing the wiring last night and making up my throttle linkage…
the throttle linkage ended up not working, so I had to use a cable…
at around midnight we finally got most everything sorted out, the car fired right up and it now moves under its own power
Nice work. Looks solid!
fucking hairy…i like it
I’ve been driving it all day, other than a leaky tranny line things are going well. Even have fully functional hvac controls.
the last 16" of the exhaust is only temporary, to keep it quiet for now. I’ll finish it all the way out the back in the spring.
so I’ve been having some difficulties getting it to run well. I can’t quite seem to get the timing dead on. I’ve been doing some searching and found this…
With L31 heads, I would start at 34 degrees initial + mechanical, all in by 2800. More cam will want more initial ignition timing, so increase the initial and limit the mechanical to get to your 34. Once the motor is running, you can try rocking the… timing back and forth a couple of degrees, but the L31 chambers are very efficient and should work best around 34.
but I’m not completely sure what he means, base timing should be 34* ?
I’ve been told before to set the timing to 34* @3500 rpm, with the vac blocked. I tried that and it doesn’t run well except for cruising and idle.
