Myrtle Beach / Other East Coast Beaches

I am looking for a little more information from people who have visited/lived in Myrtle Beach, and other East Coast Beach Cities such as Virginia Beach.

I have heard that Myrtle Beach has public beaches where you can park and spend the night, I have also heard that Virginia Beach has a similar policy. I have looked around alot on the internet, but haven’t gotten many good answers…

We plan an outdoor trip every year, and would like to road trip to SC this year, can anyone give me some more information? Thanks!

Don’t go to myrtle beach. It is a redneck vacation spot. There are tons of spots in NC. Less Rednecks there.

But we drive Fbod’s :wink: Haha just kidding, but what can you say about the locations of these types of beaches? We want to stay outdoors as opposed to getting a hotel.

myrtle beach would be a better cruise tho.

The cruise will be good no doubt, but the key is finding a beach where we can park and setup camp for a couple days.

myrtle beach is ok, but sucks for having a vehicle and honestly gets boring after a day or so

ive stayed at like 100 diff hotels in myrtle and all the places u can do that are rednecks everywhere

any deeper u go into the south the more rednecks you get… its pretty obvious

besides florida, i havent met many redneck people there

there are tons of trashy rednecks in florida.

I would focus on these 3 spots:

  • Atlantic Beach
  • Wilmington
  • Outer Banks Beaches

I <3 the outter banks… such a great vacation spot if you get one of the pimp beach houses for a week or two. edit: party like crazy too, lots of women and booze. Just stay away from cape hatteras :stuck_out_tongue:

heard myrtle beach is good to, but never been there
