Well i am not offering my input on if it will or not i could careless.
What i am saying is that not everyone arrives with the same answers either based on how they were taught or other factors.
Antimatter will make it fly. Then it will disappear, because it was never there. So the question is, do planes exist? I’m not too CERNtain.
:que X-files theme:
It can’t take off. I mean seriously how in the heck is this suppose to even fly in the first place let alone move?
Less BS, more walter!!

so what kind of surface is on the treadmill and what kind of fuel is the plane using?
The plane runs on Hopes and Dreams, of course.

Well if we go get Ted and drop 30 weight in his mouth, and make him kiss my shoes, we can force him to tell us where the engines are, then we can get a couple of SR20’s to pull a premium right before the said test.
NAWWSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
[boom]
I am not reading 8 pages of this! I have said this thread after thread, THE PLANE WILL FLY!!!. Anyone who disagrees is a fucking water head. A plane is not driven by it’s wheels. Has anyone linked to the old thread yet?
/thread.

If you blow your load while on a treadmill, will it come back at you? Same thing.

PS, ground speed doesn’t mean SHIT, my roommate’s a pilot and has told me of days where with enough head wind it takes very little in the way of a take-off roll in order to get airborn -why? because of the speed of the air moving over the wings. that’s how planes fly, it’s got NOTHING to do with wheels - hell, some don’t always even HAVE wheels, some land on water, snow, etc…
the reason it WOULD take off in actuality is that the treadmill can’t / won’t “match” it’s speed, and it will likely gain speed relative to the non-moving non-treadmill ground thus generating lift.
groundspeed =/= airspeed and has more to do with landing than takeoff.
