Mythbusters - Anyone see something that will stop 6000 page threads?

They are called the “Laws” of physics, not the “opinions” of physics

this is actually a really good idea. Does anybody have a tread mill to borrow? I have a remote hover craft.
Its a terrible idea just because it shoulden’t have to go that far to prove it!

You have your opinion, I have mine. I’m going off of what i’ve learned. I will catch the show when it airs
I say the plane will NOT take off, insufficient airflow over the wings to generate lift. I also say they do a closeup shot of Kari’s ass or chest at least 3 times during the show.

If you have nothing intelligent to post then :gtfo:

o man, this thread will definately keep me entertained today.

For what part?

how about a plane on ice… or a hellicopter on a treadmill… SAME THING!

we’re still waiting on your intelligent post. :mamoru:

The plane will take off
why’s that? cause I said the plane will not take off?

I was going to post that but it was already said
you do under stand the concept of Newtonian physics, correct?

If the jet engine pushing on the air, the air will be pushing on the jet engine causing forward momentum. The air is also pushing on the wing creating lift.

You probably thing Bernoulli’s is the majority force creating lift on a wing, as well as doing the most force, don’t you?
or a hellicopter on a treadmill… SAME THING!
huh how?? a helicopter takes off upwards

It’s only baffled people that shouldn’t be let outside the house on their own.

The plane will take off

The plane will not take off. It’s physics people… It’s not a rocket. Flight is generated by lift on the wing.

The plane will take off. Its pretty simple. The picture of the guy on rollerblades being pulled by a bike sums it up quite well.

and LOL at the drama surrounding this topic.

+1 for a meet when this airs.
Yes, I am thinking all the “laws of physics” including Bernoulli’s law point to yes but I’m still not convinced in a real life deminstration/ situation that the plane will take off… so when I said that was my opinion that is what i meant.

Stop spouting words you heard your 12th grade physics teacher say while you were napping.

In my opinion, your brain is about as valuable as the protein submarine I sent off to sea this morning.

bigg duck sez the plane will take off due to the coriolis effect
