A well tuned NA motor will definetely have better response, but turbo technology has come a long way. New turbo cars are engineered with next to no lag.

I dont know mark, built 4ags and B series with ITBs often require a rebuild before they even reach 10k.

If you’re talking production vehicles, alot of volvos, saabs and subarus are turboed from factory and they seem to do just fine.

I think in the end it just comes down to engineering and tuning.

An interesting thing to look into would be Rotrex.

just put one of these on a k24 eg. i love the design. well worth it.
