Figure I might as well start one of these for the Z.

-1992 300zx, 123,XXX miles.

I’m sure some remember my BS ordeal with this car but everything is finally back on track again. I took the Z to GearheadNY and Jason and Pete were awesome with diagnosing my steering issues. Big thanks to both of them, I’m definitely taking the Z back for more work.

And thats pretty much it for now. It just needs a new battery, inner tierods, belts/pulleys, power steering rack and the lip painted to be 100%

looks good! didnt know you had that much suspension work done (not that that’s a LOT, but you know what i mean :rofl ) you gonna auto X her this year?

I’ve actually been thinking about trying Auto X but I don’t think I’d be any good. We’ll see though, its something I’d like to try atleast once

Z wouldn’t start today temporarily…I think my starter is taking a shit too :frowning:

I tried to start it two times and it grinded, fired up 3rd try.

Saving up some money for some lightweight pulleys and belts too though. Stock pulley weight is 15.6lb, AMS is 2.5lb :clap

I have three KA starters if that helps :lol

Hmm do you know they’re interchangeable? I gotta inspect the starter and alternator when I do my pulleys. If my starter needs replacing I’ll probably hit you up for one of yours lol

Don’t get the lip painted. It looks good as is.

Usually I’d say don’t listen to ricer ^ but keep the lip black…makes the rest of the car “pop”.

The lip would probably still be sitting in my garage right now if Pete didn’t point out the other day how good it looks unpainted. haha I still plan on painting it body color though. It looks sweet head on but its too obtrusive from the sides. I’ll post a side pic tomorrow to show you guys what I mean.

Black looks a little too out of place for my liking.

Btw, I’m going to finally be looking at wheels as soon as I get my steering/belts and pulleys done. Throw me some suggestions!
