hi I have a 2000 Z28 and want to have a stall converter installed by a good shop at a fair price any ideas.
i can help you out no problem bro. pm me
Since I do this to all of the new LSx drivers… Would you like to race? I have a slow automatic too.
Oh, and Rowland Street Transmission in Ballston Spa is probably the best transmission shop in this region. Not that this is a terribly involved job that requires a transmissions specialist… I would just go to Wayne, his prices are probably the best.
cool just got divorced and lost a place to do work so im currently stuck
Go to Wayne! You do realize you will need a tune after the install.
Not necessarily. He may get misfire codes and transmission slip codes, but that really depends on the weight and stall speed of the new converter vs. the old. I had to fix the misfire tables, but I also have a 112lsa cam.
If it just picks up random misfires the converter won’t lock, thats all.
I plan on doing headers intake and cat back myself then a good tune
i have a cat back and y pipe for sale pm me
i could install all at the same time if you wanted bro.
Wayne is most definitely the man for the job.
i would suggest you contact member Wayne64SS to carry out this job…
PMs are suggested…
i put a 3800 stall converter in my 2000 z28 and it made a huge difference. i did not need a tune. just wait until you have everything done to get it tuned. what size and brand did you go with. hope you went big so you wont regret it
im also available to do all the mods listed above . out of all the others that said they would , i know the cars better than them lol if your doin a converter ya wanna get a tranny cooler as well so the added heat wont fry the trans . i highly recomend a reflash for the converter so ya dont get a stall wall as they call it . oh and dont get a cheap converter as it will do nuttin but hurt the car and performance
both slowmarro and wayne can help you out no problem, both are good guys
