I have a ba degree from NU with a concentration in finacne and a minor in accouting with almost a year into M&T. I am just wondering if they will take someone that has not been out of school for a year but has a good degree with some work experience?
There is relatively little in investment banking in Buffalo as compared to a lot of larger cities. The investments that we do at GBSB are mainly for our internal funding and investing for cash flow purposes, and that is part of what I do. There are a decent amount of good entry level positions on there, so don’t be concerned if you don’t have banking experience for a lot of them, just read the job descriptions. There are probably going to be some new positions up there soon, I will update it when they are posted.
If anyone has any specific questions about a position, feel free to PM me and I will tell you what I can about them.

any of these entry level positions good for somebody expecting to graduate in a year from UB with a degree in finance? or do all these jobs require an existing degree… thanks for the headsup
I’m not that familiar with all of the positions. I would check the descriptions.

They have a good benefits package, and there is a full gym in the office. You do need to wear a suit every day but Friday, though.
Internal teller positions and any of the non-branch positions would likely be M-F 8/9-5. Any positions at branches would be dependent on that specific branch’s hours of operation, which are listed on the website.
