All,

My dad has a 1992 Honda Civic LX. Timing belt broke today. Not fixing it. Want a new used engine.

Also, if anyone has the engine and would be willing to install it, something can likely be arranged there too. Please PM me or post up what you have. I’m sure there are plenty of D15’s laying around…

HAHA I KNEW IT!

I had 4 of them for 30$ a piece, told people to buy them as back up engines, no one ever did. they went to scrap.

Pm draftinwitjr318, I know hes got some civic stuff from racing, he may or may not have a long block left for you.

I’ll call a few friends, but I’m pretty sure we all got out of hondas at the same time. I’ll pm you if I come up with anything.

There is a sponsor that has the JDM D15B list for like 500.
You have a lift right? The install shouldn’t take you more than a weekend… and thats only if you drink as much beer as I do.
Just a thought.

if its something he plans on keeping for awhile, then t he d15 is worth that 500 all day bc who knows what you will get when buying a 200 dollar d series

yeah those motors from torontojdm have like less than 30k on them, it will last your dad a long ass time

or you can buy a 200 dollar motor with 3 or 4 times the miles on it

or you can buy a d16z6 from me for $250, yea its missing the wiring harness but i swapped mine over in less than an hour, you would have to contact 92civicruiser for miles seeings how i bought the motor from him

There could be a slight chance that the motor is still good. I recently did a timing belt on a stock integra that snaped at idle. Works fine now. I can also do the swap for a cheap price. I live close to you too, theb again you already have a nice garage to work in.
