I’m remodeling my shower/tub combo in a couple weeks.

I’m starting to look at the home centers, and looking at plumbing options.

We currently have tiled walls and ceiling in the shower. I’m going to demo that all out, remove the tub, and put in all new fixtures.

Who makes a good shower/valve combo? I need something durable that I won’t have to worry about for quite a while.

I like the 3 handle setup, the 1 handle setup seems like it would be more troublesome.

I need something super durable, like something they would put in a health club/gym shower…

This is going to be a rental property down the road for me.

Whatever you get, get american made.

I just replaced a Chinese made shower valve I installed ~5 years ago… it required cutting a tile wall open the first and 2nd time. I bought a Delta this time. I’ve always had good luck with Moen and Delta stuff. The Delta I installed (single handle) was a very solid, well constructed unit where if the insides did fail, they were COMPLETELY replaceable from the front handle side., unlike the Chinese one.
