need help with subwoofer selection

I only have experience setting up audio systems in small cars. Im trying to plan a subwoofer install in a fullsize ford E150 van and im not really sure how much wattage i should aim for. there will be 3 total component sets for mids and highs (100watts x 2 for each set) and im looking for a sub setup to compliment rather than overpower the overall sound. i was thinking 2 JL audio 12W1’s but i dunno if thats gunna be enough bass for such a large space. anyone have any experience working with such a large space?

We did a system in one of those new Dodge Sprinter things. I beilieve we used 2 Alpine type R 12s and and an Alpine MRP100 amp. The rest of the systme had all Alpine Type X components i believe. i have hard this van before and the Type Rs sounded great, so i would assume that u would be safe going with those. a Sprinter is a pretty big van.

2 12’s will be MORE then enough to complement the components… even in a van. I wouldnt worry about that a bit. I would feed the sumbs a minimum of 150 W RMS each for decent sound. 2 - 300 would be good.
