Sub woofer selection v. car audio

Well its come time to build a decent clean sounding system.
I used to toss massive power at massive speakers back in the day, now I just want to enjoy my music.
This is my deck

I can put out 180 RMS x 2 channel @ 4 ohms

My custom box is small 1 cu ft total.

I was thinking about going JL W0v2

My box is build for 2 10s

Any suggestions?

I listen to a wide range of music.

I can see this going down hill fast…

Ive used about 10 different subs over the years I have one jl12w3v2 right now and sounds incredible and by far my favorite setup I have owned. Sound quality>I want to be the loudest asshole around.

in my car i have a single rockford fosgate 10" p3 in a sealed box, i think around 1.3 cuft? i dunno was what rf reccommended for the sub. powering it with an alpine class d mono amp rated at 500rms, but have it turned down to around 430rms, somewhere around there. my buddy is an audiophile and did the math on it, put in a disc with a tone at a specific frequency and used a voltmeter or something to set it where it had to be. it sounds pretty damn good for what it is though.

call up DD they always gave me good deals…

DD’s are power hungry and want room to breathe. I only have .5cu ft per sub to work with.

I would only run a single one. These speakers will take a pounding. The rated RMS is a joke you can just about double it and they sound great. The FI-Q is used in a lot of custom home theater applications and the higher end BTL is just crazy loud. search youtube for FI subwoofers

Box came in today. WAY shallow, my only option is a shallow mount sub at this point
