Id like to learn more about the D series since there seems to be 100motors with this designation…i know the K series fairly well…but some help here would be appreciated.

if you decide to upgrade at all i have a d16z6 entire swap for sale if you want it. then you would have the vtec cam profile and a bit more umph outta the hatch. it comes with a bunch of extras as well ie… header, msd modified cap, zex plugs, taylor wires, aem cam pullies, 5000 miles on centerfirce dual friction clutch, new oem flywheel, new throwout bearing and, new pilot bearing, and others i have to think about… let me know if you are interested.
yeah…after looking at the whole thing…this isnt the factory motor…but for 20hp i dont see doing any kinda d series swap being worth it…ill just look into a differen series of motor later in this cars life…its a winter beater for me…i was just curious of my options…
By the way…anyone know how hard a rear main seal is on one of these?
Or were to get a gas tank for the 93 Civic hatchback DX?

you could easliy slap a B18B in there for cheap…motor/tranny can be had for under 700 if you look harn enough. Find out where Joe gets his, It appears he orders them in bulk.
As for the parts you need, try Best Foreign in Aliquippa. Quite a few hatches out there right now.
