x2

buy a mustang

my srt got 28 going to s.carolina… but dont forget the cobalt SS is gonna need some 93… that is like 10% higher costs. so that is like 25 in a regular 87 octane car. go with the taurus or the subarus have a 1300 down, 169 a month payment on the impreza slow ass ones. which isnt bad at all. granted you get rid of it in 4 years. but for that cheapp thats not a huge loss.

my car pulls the trailer and bike just fine with 115hp and 125tq, i’m sure what ever you get will have alot more hp.

i read a test between the srt4 and the SS and they said the srt4 needs premium but the SS will run on regular unleaded

maybe a subaru? they are 4x4 plus 4cyl? what ever car you decide on, make sure there is a companie that makes a hitch for it. you already know thre is one made for the SS cobalt.

i would def not buy a subaru, from a mechanics veiw, they are a mother to do anything to, the cobalt ss is nice, i have worked on quite a few of them and they seem to be great cars, the srt however is a diff kind of car, first it is really small feeling inside, and after the get about 50k on the odometer they feel really loose ? I can’t really explain it, they feel kinda “junky” but keep in mind the cobalt is still just a cavalier i think they are made to run till you pay em off and buy a new one… just my:blanyer:

whats the hold up on subaru? only thing that is really a pita is the abs rings on spindles/stub axles are prone to rust, abs pumps themselves (seems to be a couple brands which is a pita to get to right one) and the wheel bearings. thats understandable on an awd car that owners never maintain. pulling engines or tranny is cake, as are engine accesories.

engine wise, pretty damn reliable if you timing belts/service. same w/ trannys. granted, have their weak spot when you start modding them, but oem style pretty solid cars.

my only real bitch is how the wiring is run, and access or lack of to all the 8mm nuts that hold the tail lights. also seem to rust around the 1/4’s where the rear bumper would attach on the side, and for some reason the oem installed mudflaps never want to come off, the 8mm lag bolt is usually ok, but the metal clip rusts and spins that teh lag screws into.

…eh, bought a SS today. pics up when i pick it up…(monday)

Cool what color.

Red…FTW:bigok:
