I went from an x50 to a V1 but only reason is because it was given to me as a gift. I definitely recommend the x50 if you want to save some money and I really like the smartcord. V1 is great if you have the extra cash

i got a 9500i used from ebay pretty cheap, the speaker was blown so I got a great price.
Had a 8500 before that. The 8500 actually is a split second faster across x k and ka but I like the gps so I can turn off falses for good,
Can’t comment of a v1 but my escorts have saved me countless times.
Escort customer service is top notch in my book though. My last 8500 they re-adjusted out of warranty for free when it started falsing double ka. This was after 5+ years on the dashboard. And my 9500i I don’t even know where it came from but it needed a new speaker, and they just sent one to me free of charge after I posted a nice thread on their forum asking for help with it.
