need some help here...

ok so i just got my car back togeather from replacing the turbo elbow on it aswell as coating the IC piping and the battery died during this time. Now I just got the car running today not a problem bossted her up and made sure there was no leaks or anything but the car started surging. Like reving to 2k and then dropping to like 1k. Now im just wonering if this is because the ECU reset itself and is trying to relearn the fuel curves or i physically don’t have my wastegate hooked up the little clip is no where to be found it wasn’t on there when i took the turbo off ( probably the reason why i lost all boost on the highway) so could this cause that problem?

any other suggestions? i know that i should get one of those little clips and see if that fixes it…but just seeing if theres any other suggestions

That would have been the reason why you lost boost, and yes, IF the waste gate is not on the little gate, the car could be surging. Otherwise, if you took off your intercooler piping, there is a good chance you have a leak somewhere. Take it for a drive. You’ll find out in a hurry if it is the waste gate.

took it for a drive. i knew that the gate was not hooked up i just wanted to see if there was any leask or if anything fell off kinda thing.

but your saying that i should be fine after the gate is hooked back up?? is there anyway to re-set the ECU? just pull the fuse or…??

In order to re-set the ECU all you have to do is disconect the battery and then press the brake pedal till the lights die out. Thats it.
