im going to be picking up another car soon, and then taking the 240 off the road for a bit. i was wondering if anyone has ever bought a title separately from a car. i wont be able to get past this obd2 horseshit once the rest of the stuff goes in, so i was looking into getting a title from a 95, or maybe earlier even. if someone is selling just a chassis, i can just pick it all up for a decent price. then i can reregister with that VIN. ive never really had people check and compare the vins on the chassis to the one on the dash, so i think this might get me by. any input? thanks.
