need xp setup help asap

setting up 3 new laptops,

normal process is to run the setup, then have it join domain etc

i begin to set them up, laptops werent plugged in, ran through all the install step, they flashed up that setup could not complete because bettery is too low…

so i plug them in, they hang up, restart, now each unit says “the system is not fully installed. please run setup again”

how do i re-enter that system setup process?

(p.s. they didn’t come with restore disks so stfu)

pwease

Been awhile since I’ve had to do this, but if you’re using the XP CD, there should be a recovery option. If not, you’re SOL and will have to start fresh.

fuck

If they didn’t come with CDs, then there should be a recovery partition on the drive. When you boot the machine there should be an option to press ‘F-something’ and boot to the recovery partition to restore the os. This will probably delete any info already put onto the HDD.

EDIT - When running setup/installing windows/anything os related ALWAYS have it plugged in. You’re somewhat a computer guy. You should know that!! :stuck_out_tongue:

just wipe the drives and reinstall.

Plug them in for god sakes.
