Unless you can weld, or are willing to spend a few hundered for someone to fix it, stay away from holes in anything…especially the frame rails.
Save up some more money and buy one with decent underbody, it will save you so much hassle
for frame rails i can give you the number for a good shop out in brampton or one in mississauga that helped a couple people i know fix their frames if you really want it but in this case, stay away from cars like that it could have a gold trim and the car still wouldnt be worth it cuz of all the rust, holes and corrosion

Tell the guy $300 and sell it to someone on SON for $1500. Let them do the regular mod of swapping a 250HP SR into a frame that slinkies like an accordion.
Or… pick it up for $300 and pay Hanzzzzz to exercise his superior welding/rust repair skills on your car. Anything else, engine mechanical etc I think you’ll probably end up swapping it out if you follow the TNC/SON 240 hype.

mike, listen to me, cuz every month someone comes on here saying they found a cheap ass, rusty 240 that doesnt run and they need help fixing it.
you could buy a $500 rusty POS, spend $1500 getting rid of rust, end up with a $2000 rustless POS and then you’re where you wanted to be in the first place. except that $500 car turned out to be a lot more then $500 and a ton more work.
or you could look around a bit, find a 240 that’s worth $2000. pay $2000.
drive it and anjoy it for the rest of the summer, drift it, destroy it, w/e, at least ur not fixing rust and without a car.
or if you’re more mechanically inclined, you could pick up a mint rolling chassis for like $500 with no motor and swap something in.
just remember, for every bit of rust you can see, there is prolly twice as much that you cant see. when a car gets to the point where it’s showing rust, its likely that it’s already been rusting for years and years.

I agree with Terry. Moreso with just the frame and no engine. I sincerely doubt the engine has less than 200000km on it. Best bet is to look at it first then ask us our opinions. You will probably find that you’re walking away from it even without asking us.
Pictures are only that. They never tell whats really under the car and a seller will do everything he can to get rid of his POS by hyping it up. Get under the car, put your hand on the rail and see what you come up with.
No drifting that unsafe car. That is a death trap if it’s as bad as the price makes it seem.
Besides, G2 drifting gets an immediate loss and suspension of drivers license, careless driving offence tickets and I’m pretty sure no insurance company will want to touch him after he’s clear of everything. He’s probably still on his G1 if he’s even gotten that yet.
Get a G and drift if you must.
right now i got my g1 gettin g2 sometime in august or september… i aint scared to drive it back…im just not to sure… i mean the car also has no muffler…and that is illegal to drive with out one…and i was jus thinkin of coppin one at standard auto wreckers since its right behind my house…but i unno how to put da shit on. : (… plus i need some money… so im not sure… i can get the car for 300?? car looks decent on the outside a lie?? its just the underbody… like the rockers arent even THAT bad… considering other 240s on the site. and in canada… well i might just get it… hmm

buy ur parts from standard and estimate all repairs 1st b4 buying this SHIT BOX. i can hook you up with a exhaust system from cat to tip for about 500 bucks straight pipe custom made. see if you can also get a new bumper and that rust on the side skirt totally blows man like i dunno but i think that’s gonna cost a bit to repair. check the brakes, rotors and suspension and the entire underpan 1st. and considering all this shit needs to be done… bargain $237.29 and look at the expression in his face!
