First off, I am no QuattroKrant (he usually writes these) he was unable to attend this event and I am no where near as entertaing of a writer as he is.
Second, thank you to QuattroKrant for actually having and brining me a new rear caliper slider pin that I needed (was slightly bent some how and making the drivers side rear pads touch/overheat) about 1 hour before we were ready to leave. Gotta love it when shit like this happens on the day you’re ready to leave for a trip. Have to also love the fact that Audi only sells the sliding pins with the entire fucking carrier and grosly overcharges for them and does not stock them :jerkit:
Club: North East Quattro Club
Location: Caroga Lake NY
Who Went: Xander and I drove my A4 Avant, Mike brought one of his Legacy 2.5’s and Dan in his Audi 4000.
There is usally about 30-40 cars total
CTS-V 6 speed car too :headbang:
One of the mebers brought his personal helicopter, that is pretty fucking cool
He used it to take some ariel photos of the group and also some on track stuff:
It was pretty fucking nuts having a chopper flying just above you on track like a top gear episode. It was also kinda distracting too when driving on glare ice too, when you really should be focusing on what your doing (dont mind the car stuck in the snow, we will get to that in a minute lol)
Another member brought a cool RC toy with a go pro mounted on it that you fly from the goggles, pretty cool toy
And with all that ice out there you are bound to slide off some time, I beached the car once myself and so did Xander. Of course I only took pics of it when he did it (Dick). Although he got it pretty good, must of taken that diesel truck about ten tugs to get it off the pile of snow we landed in LOL.
All that driving will sure make you hungry, so why not heat up last night’s left over’s on the turbo/exhaust manifold stove
Had a great time, thanks to Xander and Krant for helping get my car fixed at the last minute. Mike, I hope you can get some more seat time next year.
