cant do it 2003 skidoo changed the design of sleds today and everyone coppied so well see how long it takes everyone to copy again.
2008 skidoo 800r weighs in at less than 500lbs show me any yammy that will do that it has the apex beat by 107lbs and same hp rating 151

And not to mention the gas mileage is comparable if not better.
2 stroke SkiDoo is still > 4 stroke.
That will change someday, but they arent there yet.

once you ride one for more then hour you will change.
I would never buy a Brand New Sled again living here in WNY. My Last sled, Formula III was my last winter toy.

I rode with and raced a 600 sdi this winter with my vector turned nytro, The gas mileage was nowhere close to my sled but the power was there up top on the sdi where the 4stroke lacks.
The new doo are nice (much nicer tha the old REV) but ill take the new 130 FI NYTRO that only 15lbs heaver than the new doo wet (the doo had no reverse or electric start) so chalk a win for the new Yamaha
Heres a vid http://www.yamaha-motor.ca/video/sm/
:fyi: :fyi: 1050cc engine that puts out 130+ and it will get OWNED by a skidoo 800 that puts out 151 hp. now if we really wanted to match cubes the 1000 the skidoo has is 171hp and has won the 05,06,07 and soon the 08 shootout for fastest production sled made. the 600cc rev puts out 135hp will keep up and also weigh in at nearly 80lbs lighter than the yammy. i dunno if i didnt see the blue and black colors over there sled i would have mistaken it for a rev… oh thats right cause skidoo changed the way sleds are designed these days and yammy thought it was a briliant idea

:word:
Yamaha has made leaps and bounds but they are still behind the game. There sleds ride like they are 2 feet long.
true true i give them credit no doubt but there just not a ski doo
because yamaha is too busy building awesome bikes.
they do make some sick bikes
I swear that I am the only person in the snowmobiling community excited about decent fuel economy and not smelling like a weed whacker after a day of riding.
lol you can only have one oof the 2 either power or economy but i know exactly what you mean
nice post
so whats the best sled on this list that is a good trail sled for 2 people but still has a good amount of ballz.
i really liked the venture GT i saw at don georges, thing was pimp, will comfortably ride 2, and best of all still plenty of power with tha big mota and no weed wacker smell, as someone already mentioned. gonna be a tough choice next winter if i do decide to get a new one…
After riding a Vector gt, Attak, and Apex for the past 2 weeks, Im hooked on getting one. deff fulfills the need for speed in the winter. I was actually looking at the Venture as well. handles pretty well for a 2up and has the same 120 motor as the Vector.
