just remember there are tons of ways to make power and get redicululous amounts of power out of just about anything…but realistically getting small hp gains to match your ability is best.
my first car was a 1974 road runner with about 150rwhp
i moved it up to about 325rwhp after about 5 years…why?
150rwhp was plenty to do some serious learning on…my friends got daddy to buy them this or that… and crashed after a year or less…
one cannot walk anymore and one looks like a horror movie on one side of his face…
its just as easy to learn, and keep the car, and get 1/2 the tickets and in 1/2 the dangerous situations with less power…yess I know power is key but there is no point in too much power to handle…
everyone wants 500 hp…this is an “almost” un-driveable car in canada.
300 hp is plenty difficult to drive…
even with $1000 woth of tires and $1500 worth of suspension work under the car…
do you have the budget to build a high hp car??..most do not.
High Hp needs bigger brakes better tires and tranny work, a rear diff or 2 would be nice, maybe some new turbo stuff?, how bout a good racing seat?
maybe a roll cage?..how bout some more turbo stuff…etc etc etc.
but some…they are willing to have fun with the hp that the car came with…besides…who wants to have to spend $2000 to repair a motor when another factory motor is available for $300??
driving/ tracking is fun…keeping up with the jones’s is not…
dont bother either…
there is allways someone with more money/time/parts/stupidity to be able to out build or drive you…
but they may not be having as much fun as you…
many just want to have a good time with their baby… lets just try to keep it to that…
