hahah stock with a welded center dif. WOOT WOOT. using a ptt twin disk though for clutch. idk the tranny shifted like butter last year with the act2600. so should be nice with the twin disk hopefully.
Yeah I just went through tranny number 3 last night. Motor on 23lbs had a disagreement with the 2 spider.
I’m gonna see if Gary can weld up the diff before the next one goes in.
Thats it though. I’m out of spares after this one!!
damn that sucks… this tranny seemed to be pretty solid and not beat on too hard. so hopefully the welded center dif will help it stay in 1 piece.
Good luck with that. The torque that the 2.4 puts out is the real culprit. I need to get some money together and have TRE build me something nice.

thing pulls very hard with a partial tune at 17 psi on the 2.4. cant wait to really turn up the boost… 25-30 on pump and 35-40 on racegas (once i get my new injectors)

engine bay still needs a couple things after market coolant reservoir and oil catch can.(billet plug cover-on its way). needs a nice wipe down, some pipes shined up, and some ugly welds ground down.
yup all done up with bronze valve guides, super tech valve seals, SS valves, brian crower springs and retainers, BC 280 cams and some 3g lifters

launched the car today and all i can say is woooooowwwwwww (flavor flav voice)
twin disk grabs like crazy, welded center dif and some 245 wide tires on all 4. 5k stutterbox with no antilag and the car just instantly spun and did not move lol. oh yeah forgot to mention this was on 16-17 psi :). this thing already scares me on low boost so i cant wait to see what some c16 and 35 + lbs of boost will do
so now i am in the search from some nice lightweight 16" rims and some hoosier QTP’s
