So… yah, my car is in complete shambles. I am changing almost everything from last year for many reasons… evo3 is now a 35r, fuel tank is now a fuel cell, stock seats are now sparcos, stock seats belts are now 5points, 255hp is now a bosch 044 pump, stock fuel lines are now -10, aeromotive afpr is now ?..you get the idea. I guess I will start with my list of parts to be installed and I am going to update as everything gets done.
awd brake proportioning valve
axxis ultimate rear brakes
dnp t4 header
35r
tial 44 and bov
water/air intercooler
intercooler radiator system
shep stage 4 with quaiffe front lsd, 4spider, and rem’d gear set
RPS carbon-carbon clutch
defi and stewart warner gauges
sparco evoL seats w/ aluminum side mounts and sparco base mounts
2x 5 point harness
fuel cell
fuel pump and lines
magnus -10 fuel rail
cometic head gasket
95eclipse speed sensor
aem ems
info:
I have the seats hard mounted to the base to get them as low as possible.
I went to the 95 electric speed sensor from the cable driven 1g because I am going to use a Stewart Warner speedo and as an input into AEM EMS for traction control, launch control, nitrous control, etc.
I went to a fuel cell because I didn’t want to go through the hassle of finding a non-rusted used stock tank.
The 6 Defi gauges are all going in the center hvac console, which will be fiberglassed and painted. I also plan to run Stewart Warner Speedo, Tach, fuel level in the stock location. The hvac controls will then be moved to the center console inside the arm rest. The hazard switch is going to be relocated to the stock flipup headlight switch the rest of the hvac switches will be deleted.
Anyhow I plan to update this thread until the car is done. My goal is to be driving the car at the begining of july.
is that an air to water made from a stock SMIC? this project looks like it will be fun. i wish i had the money to finish my DSM… my parents are trying to make me sell it cause its just sitting in their driveway. ugh.

No, you can’t make an Air to water from an air to air intercooler (I mean you COULD but it would be a lot more work than necessary). The air to water that Gary has is quite a bit larger than the stock 1G or 2G SMIC.

Looks great, Gary!

ah i see, i don’t know what the inside of a water to air IC looks like and it just had the basic reseblence to one of the “super big SMIC” that are for sale on one of the DSM sites (prolly SBR or Dejon powerhouse).
