Is a used 5D that good though? Mentioned above was automatic sensor cleaning, screen, etc.

Wouldn’t a new 60D or 7D be as good or better than a used 5D I (for maybe less money)?

That was my thought process when looking for a camera. Full frame is awesome, but I didn’t want it at the expense of all the other newer technology.

Do some research on the difference between FF and crop. If you shoot a lot and feel you can justify it, buy it.
