New body/lens

While nowhere near Killa’s or CFD’s work…

I rented a Canon T3i and a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 from BorrowLenses.com for two weddings I’ve got (one last weekend and one this weekend) so I thought I’d snap some pics of my car with the improved hardware. Here is the result:

nicely done man! deff helps out having good gear

your car seams to have the same body on it , and headlight lenses for that matter . id say ya got fucked

Definitely agreed CFD…I need to upgrade for good.

:lol…good one john.

Yay for new bodiez!
Looks good!

Car is looking clean. I like pic 2–nice location!

Thanks. It’s my go-to spot :lol.

Killa/CFD…I’m thinkin of upgrading my body from my XTi. Do you think the T3i is a good jump? Or should I go to a 5D or 60D?

OMG 5D 100% and never look back … i just had to talk KBB into buying it this past weekend … he will undoubtedly chime in and agree

Erm…my bad. I meant 7D. 5D is out of my budget for now. 7D is probably as expensive as I’d be willing to go as my revenue isn’t high enough to justify a $2,500 body.

So between a 60D (~$900) or a 7D (~$1,200)…which would you rather have given the price difference. Is the $300 or so worth it?

5d mk1

I just got a 60d and love it. Also upgraded from an xti

What Dan said.

I love my 5D Classic but the larger screen, automatic sensor cleaning, and high ISO performance of the 5D Mark II is better for my hand held style of shooting. After I use the Mark II more I’ll give a better opinion.

I’m not a huge crop sensor fan, FF all the way.

So are you showing off the car or your new equipment? :lol

Both :lol

Cheeeaaaa boiiiiii

A friend of mine once said “I would rather use a point and shoot than a crop camera” I dont know if I would go that far, but there is a difference, I can notice it in your photos from last year to now too, Dan.

What difference do you notice?

Photos tend to be as I previously said, more dynamic. I noticed less noise/pixelation, high ISO noise is less noticeable. If you stare at two photos taken with a crop and a FF you can see subtle differences.

Gotchyaa. I wanted to get the 5d Mark II, but it was a little over budget. And don’t make any money taking pics yet lol, soo the 60d seemed like the next best thing. Now I just need some quality glass!! :ahh

you can pick up a used 5D mk1 in the 1000-1300$ range
