97 Dodge Neon Sport… 76k, has the D4RE 140hp Dohc motor… cousin to the Mitsubishis 420A just different head exhaust ports in the front on the 420A. Simple mods didnt know they were there till i picked it up. here it is

I used to have a '96 but mine was a SOHC and automatic.
Fun little shitbox and the best handling car Ive owned so far.
My brother had a '95 SOHC/stick but he rolled it about 3 weeks after he bought it.

mine had a cover on the cam gears and i think the calve cover looked slightly lower, but otherwise it looked the same. i dont see why theyd make such monute changes to a motor with 0hp difference and make a whole new engine code for it and stuff. just toss the same engine in both
i took the cover off the cam gears and the only difference between my motor and mitsubishi’s motor was that my motor was developed by lamborghini… mitsubishi’s was complete chrysler
