:bloated: are you talking about the 2008-09 or the old shitbox? The new malibu’s interior is best in its class.
it looks pretty nice in that picture. unfortunately, in real life its not even close. fit and finish as well as material quality is lackluster.
Every GM interior after 6 months or so, looks shot as fuck. NO matter what you do to it. Not to mention all the hard/cheap plastic takes a beating and shows every knick/mark.
It is 1,000 times better than the previous generation though. Which GM offered in 08 as a “Malibu Classic”.
mmm two different hues of black.
That is one great deal! Enjoy!
To everyone else, if you are a situation where you can buy, do it! The deals are insane right now!
Congrats. You will really like your Nissan.
i hope so. i loved it when i drove it. if people are interested…this guy has a bunch of cars for CHEAP! civics, accords, sonatas, altimas. shoot me a pm if you are looking, there is prob a great deal to be had. they will work with the price. but you have to drive to clevaland. if anyone picked one up from there and wants to pick it up i am off wednesday lol
Very nice pick-up and cleveland is not a bad drive at all.
well, that brings me to another question…should i have it delivered? it would make my life a whole lot easier. but they said that i have to pay in full before they will ship the car. what if i get it and something is wrong? i bought it on ebay and the listing does not say anything is wrong at all. it is in mint condition. am i protected? any thoughts?
cleveland is a short drive, why have it delivered?
Just go pick it up.
yeh…but me picking it up requires 2 people…i cant drive 2 cars back. and i would rather not spend a whole saturday doing this. i just wanted to give myself another option and see if people have bought cars on ebay before. i read the protection program and it seems there are a couple loop holes.
How much is it going to cost you to get it here if you dont pick it up?
i think like 250
Looks like two different trims in the pic. The press photo’s an LTZ w/ the two-tone leather. The other’s probably an LT or more likely an LS with cloth and non-leather-wrapped steering wheel/shifter.
And I’m not sure how you can tell fit/finish from such a small pic; and the fold-down seatback is supposed to be harder plastic. The soft cloth ones take too much of a beating from pass-through items.
how much does an LTZ cost?
doesn’t matter how small the pics are. What matters is that the first picture posted is probably a FULLY loaded $35k model with pictures taken by a professional photographer under perfect lighting conditions. Of course they are going to make it look nice.
edit: LTZ with ebony/black interior is ~$30k
wow, shocker, the guys who always shit on domestics are shitting on domestics.
A fully loaded LTZ costs less than a mid-level Camry or Accord.
Actually, the seat fabric looks nicer than the leather, imo. I really hate leather interiors. GM used to use some really strange geometric seat fabric. Some of the plastics are cheap, and GM could benefit from designing the interiors such that hard plastics aren’t next to soft touch plastics (as seen in the black interior’s dash and glove box meet up). Putting something completely different where these meet would make for a better transition and mask the cheap lower plastic.
I drove a 2008 from Buffalo - NYC - Buffalo. It was a decent car (I’ll excuse the rattles and misaligned trim pieces because it was a rental). It was not an Accord, though. It felt numb.
yeah, it’s not as much as I thought it would be.
Although, an A/T Accord EX starts at ~25k v6 brings you up to $26.6k. Fully loaded Malibu LTZ is a bit more than that, ~30k. So you really should watch your statements about price.
I would have to see/feel the interior in person to believe the quality. The picture that was originally posted looks A LOT nicer than the one beck posted. Not really sure which one is a real representative of the quality/look/feel.
Comparing MSRP on a chevy to a honda is useless. Chevy dealers are going to throw incentives at you and wheel and deal and easily knock off $5k or more. Honda you’re lucky if they throw in the undercoating for free.
such a cop-out answer
